April 16, 2003 Meeting Summary:
As with other Nebraska SNIP meetings, the April meeting generated a large amount of interest and information sharing. The Small Provider Interest Group received valuable input on HIPAA issues during their session. With the Security rule being just published, the general session "1st Look at Security rule" overview was well received.

January 15, 2003 Meeting Summary:
Despite the threat of typical Nebraska snowstorm, we had another successful Nebraska SNIP meeting. There were 222 people in attendance at the general session and breakout sessions. Those in attendance also had the opportunity to visit exhibitors and discuss their HIPAA plans. The First Timers session held before the general session received respectable participation. As planned, we are phasing out the First Timers session with these being the last presentation.

October 9, 2002 Meeting Summary:
After a full summer and prior Nebraska SNIP meetings, we had another successful Nebraska SNIP meeting. There were 264 people in attendance at the general session and the buffet lunch. Those in attendance also had the opportunity to visit exhibitors and discuss their HIPAA plans. Recognition was given to committee members for their contributions to the entire Nebraska SNIP effort.

The First Timers session held before the general session was a success again. We had planned to phase out the First Timers session, but with such attendance, we plan on repeating at the next Nebraska SNIP meeting. The Small Provider Interest Group also has a successful meeting and shared sample documents.

July 18, 2002 Meeting Summary:
Even in the July heat, we had a successful Nebraska SNIP meeting.  There were 281 people in attendance at the general session and lunch after receiving 306 registrations.  Those in attendance also had the opportunity to visit exhibitors and discuss their HIPAA plans.

There was standing room only for First Timers session held before the general session.  We had planned to have this as our last First Timers session, but with such attendance, we will need to revisit this decision. The Privacy, Security and Transactions Work Groups also held their breakout sessions in the afternoon with good attendance. We finished the day with a Small Providers Interest Group forum. Those in attendance made some recommendations for the NE SNIP Steering Committee.

April 25, 2002 Meeting Summary:
This meeting was another successful Nebraska SNIP meeting.  There were 169 people in attendance at the general session and lunch.  The First Timers session held before the general session was once again well attended.  The Privacy, Security and Transactions Work Groups also held their breakout sessions in the afternoon.
